Our Story.

November of 2018, Lucy was taken from our home.

We immediately called the cops and notified her Microchip company…this is when we realized how alone we were in our mission to get her back.

We even had low-grade footage of her being taken from us, however we soon learned that law enforcement doesn’t have the time or resources given the lack of prosecution of the thief if they would even be able to catch them.

We learned how much of a false sense of security we had given our misinterpretation of how the Microchip recovery process works, both what it is, and when it is most effective in recovery.

We began to see early on not just how often pet theft occurs, but how low the odds are of recovery.

We have connected almost daily with new people in the same situation all over the country, most have no idea what to do or where to turn for help.

In the first 90 days we distributed over 25k fliers, 500 large pink posters all over California, received coverage from several local Bay Area news stations and newspapers, reached millions on social media and BringLucyHome.com, and millions more via the Digital billboard (ran 24 hours a day for several weeks in Rohnert Park, CA), and traditional print media.

Despite the massive uprising of support both locally and from all over the U.S. and even other countries we have not gotten the information we need to get Lucy back. We have launched search parties in response to possible sightings in the event she was dumped due to the attention.

The task of finding Lucy seems impossible, but she is family and we can never give up. There is no amount of time or resources that will make us accept she is gone forever.

Until we know it is physically impossible to get her back we will not quit.

We believe she was sold by whoever took her and whoever now has no idea of a suspicion at best of her background and that she was stolen.

We need everyone’s help to share to raise awareness not just about Lucy but pet theft so others do not fall victim, in spreading the word we believe we can keep Lucy’s profile in front of enough people to insure her return.

We have made traction, and are beginning to see efforts on numerous fronts, including working with local representatives to pass Lucy’s Law, that will address a variety of key issues regarding pet theft.

Additionally, we are working on a concept for prevention and recovery, and are working with a team of tech consultants and hardware specialists to produce a prototype/beta device to alert owners of pet theft, or any tampering with this trackable safety device, indicating that your pet is in danger.
